Kaempfer & Associates, Inc. maintains a staff of 20-25 people.  The professional staff of Kaempfer & Associates, Inc. includes civil, environmental, structural, architectural, chemical, and mechanical engineers.  Our principal engineers have over 25 years of engineering experience.  The professional staff is supported by a balanced technical staff consisting of draftpersons, engineering and surveying technicians, construction inspectors, and administrative support personnel.  We are equipped with the most modern equipment, including computer systems designed for engineering applications; such as, structural and hydraulic analysis, computer aided design and drafting (CADD), and word processing.  The hydraulic analysis program routinely used by Kaempfer & Associates, Inc. is capable of analyzing a water distribution system with up to 1,000 pipelines.

Kaempfer & Associates, Inc. is a full service firm, which provides comprehensive professional services from a project's conception through construction and start-up.  We recognize that each client has unique problems and needs which require unique solutions.  We constantly strive to solve those problems and fill those needs in the most economical and expeditious manner.

We feel our small size is a direct benefit to the client because it assures timely, personal service for our clients and allows active participation of the principals of the firm in every project.  We have a highly qualified staff who have a record of successful projects.  We are particularly proud of our ability to maximize the use of existing facilities to minimize project costs.

Our firm prides itself in providing innovative, cost-effective solutions to our client's needs.  We provided the planning, design, bidding, construction related, and start-up services for the first aquifer storage and recovery (ASR) well in Wisconsin.  We provide a complete range of engineering services from start to completion of the project and we will be available to provide continuing engineering services after the project is completed.  We routinely involve the staff of the community in all aspects of the project.  This approach results in a savings to the client and a better understanding of the project for the client.

Our company policy is to assign one engineer as project manager for the duration of a project.  This engineer provides general supervision of the work and continuity to the project.  The project manager is directly involved in all phases of the project and draws upon other company resources and expertise as required; therefore, the client then deals with one person throughout the project.

Kaempfer & Associates, Inc. uses a customized project numbering and filing system that is designed to optimize our ability to provide continuing engineering services to our clients.  Our unique system allows rapid recovery of information for every project.  Kaempfer & Associates, Inc. maintains a copy of all operating and maintenance manuals for our projects so we have access to the same information as the client for efficiently providing operating assistance.

Kaempfer & Associates, Inc. maintains one of the most extensive libraries of technical information and references in northeast Wisconsin.  The library includes a complete set of the AWWA Standards and Manuals of Water Supply Practices, a set of the WEF Manuals of Wastewater Practices, ASTM Standards for building construction, NFPA Standards and codes, as well as, text books on all aspects of engineering.  Periodicals in our library include the Journal of the American Water Works from 1950 and the Journal of the Water Environment Federation from 1971.

Kaempfer & Associates, Inc. has a comprehensive safety program.  The program includes written procedures for General Safety and Health Procedures, Traffic Control, Personal Protective Equipment, Confined Space Entry, Excavations, Hazardous Energy Control, and Hazard Communication.  Our written program is supplemented with annual training sessions.
